A successful Weekend with Dogs in the Spessart (Germany)
Who remembers the well known actress in the movies of the late 50th and 60th, all taking place at haunted castles or Inns in the Spessart?
Wie beim Film: «Uuuund action!» Allerdings ohne Lilo Pulver. Dafür mit Claudia und «Limcreek Eyleen», mit Ruben und «Limcreek Eyron Stark» und Negoslav mit «Leacaz Sleet» in den Hauptrollen. Der Spessart Cup 2020 beginnt für das Schweizer Team im Feld von 65 Gespannen.
All started like in the movies: «And action!», but unlike the mentioned old movies with Lilo Pulver, the actress, the main actors were our dogs and their handlers. Claudia with «Limcreek Eyleen», Ruben with «Limcreek Eyron Stark» and Negoslav with «Leacaz Sleet» making up the Swiss Team in the field of 65 teams of the Spessart-Cup 2020. One of the last such events this year before most international events were cancelled due to Corona Virus.

High waters in all brooks and creeks, challenging ground and many obstacles blocking the view make handling the dogs difficult.

Auch diese Aufgabe wird erfolgreich gelöst. Und ab zu weiteren Herausforderungen im dichten Wald mit vielen Hindernissen.

Die trainierten Vierbeiner spurten im dichten Wald über Gräben, Bäche und Baumstämme und durchs Dickicht rauf und runter zu den grünen Stoff-Dummies, welche die Beute simulieren. Und die Labradors sind erfolgreich. So erfolgreich, dass das Schweizer Team die Silbermedaille holt.
Training has been paying off, the dogs listen to the commands of the handlers, jump over logs, cross brooks and fight their way through thicket and brambles to the dummy. The team is successful, very successful winning the silver medal.
Neue Gegend, ganz im Sinne von Dice und Brandy 
So kommt schon… 
Parallel-Schnuppern im Wald 
Derweil der zehn Monate junge «Brandy» und der neunjährige «Prüfungsrentner Dice» zwischendurch mit dem Fotografen den Naturpark erkunden. Ganz ohne Wirtshaus oder Spukschloss, aber ganz im Sinne des Filmtitels «Herrliche Zeiten im Spessart». So haben alle Beteiligten gewonnen.
Meanwhile «Brandy» aged 10 months and nine year old «Dice», retired from competitions, enjoy a long walk in the near by nature park with the photographer, Chris. A win-win situation for all dogs and all humans during this weekend.
